SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Police in Louisiana have charged a 19-year-old who they say shot a 2-year-old in the head as she sat in the back seat of a car this weekend.
News outlets report Ta’Darrious Terrell Upshaw was charged Sunday with second-degree murder and aggravated assault with a firearm. Police said that Upshaw surrendered tyo police on Saturday and was jailed on $750,000 bond.
2-year-old was taken to a hospital where she died
He’s accused of shooting 2-year-old Kynsley Robinson in the back of the head in Shreveport on Friday. Investigators say the girl was in a car with her father when another car pulled up behind them and someone began shooting. Both victims were taken to a hospital where the child died.
The father was reportedly shot in the leg and his condition is unknown.
